I don't understand what you mean, 3 what?
@leovilok : You should add some space around you levels, it's displeasant to be so near the edge of the window, and when the shadow is on the top shadow block, we can't see its position, it's inconvenient.

Sounds more like it's a Firefox problem, maybe you should report a bug.

Me & My Shadow • Re: Me & My Shadow Web Port
The web port also crashes Firefox for me, I though this was because of an older version of FF (11.0).
But recently I updated Firefox to version 12.0 and it still crashes, while on a different machine runs fine (also FF 12.0).
So after some more testing I think the web port crashes when using a 64-bit version of FF.
The machine it worked on was running 32-bit openSUSE and FF 12.0.
On my 64-bit system I downloaded a 32-bit FF binary and it worked flawless.
Hope you will be able to fix this.

Me & My Shadow • Re: Implementing translation support
More good news, levelpacks can now be translated as well.
I've added a .pot file for the tutorial and the default levelpack, everything can be translated except the title of the levelpack.
A python script is in the latest svn (r. 323) and can be used to extract translatable strings from a levelpack.
It isn't perfect since it doesn't parse the file but tries to detect a key=value line by line.
If it finds one it will check the key against a list with keys that are translatable.
This means that the same text twice won't work properly.

The Shadow is not useless anymore I think (update the levelpack and say me if it's still useless).MCMic wrote:

3 Then jump down (while recording) to the block three down and three to the right from your starting position. Hopefully your shadow will land on the normal block right of the starting block. You might need to stop the mimic to prevent your shadow from falling of.
4 Then jump 1 down and 1 to the right followed by another small jump to the right. Activate this recording when the time is right, your shadow has to stand on a shadow block that is being flown over by spikes ! The second small jump will land him on the normal block next to the exit.
5 Get your shadow above the exit. Let him walk the stairs.
6 Jump to the swap and use it. Watch out for spikes.
PS : I got killed in replay mode
edit: new recording : it's working.

I did not see the cubes, sorry. They are too big to be on screen completely so it's hard to see them.

I see the bug and I'm not sure what is causing it. And I'm not quite sure what is version 0.3-2.4...
I love the new icons and I'm happy that I've been the inspiration for you. It's quite funny because I created the mockups very fast and I was too lazy to find the real icons there.

I tried again in M&MS and the extraction seem to have been stopped at a close level (close to what I got last time).
Not sure what is causing this, it works fine for me.
Do others have this problem?

Thanks again for making this levelpack.

->Level 1 : I don't see that much useless elements (but those used for symmetry : we are in the geometry part after all
->Level 2 : Yes, some parts are useless, to keep the Perspective concept (I hope the 3d cubes are still visible, isn't it?), but it's still too easy
->Level 3 : it's the worst I made
There is also a way to cheat I want to remove in the Columns level, here is the new file : columns.txt
There are also fast ways in level 5 "Breaking" (but this one is difficut to do or to fix so I keep it), and maybe in level 1 (but I didn't managed to do it so I think that's OK

The actual button still works though.

As you can see I'm trying out new "inky" icons inspired by odamite's translation mock-ups. See the attachment. Feedback is welcome.

As for the new feature, I have an idea which is a collectable item which can stop the time (stopping moving blocks and the shadow), similar to a game I had previously played: http://www.miniclip.com/games/chronotron/

After reading this I got a quite nice idea in my opinion. What if in some levels the shadow movement was actually reversed. This would give more challenge to game. Also shadow's (or player's) gravity could be turned up-side-down. And there could be some trigger for it too. These could create some interesting puzzles.
These are all good ideas and can be used to create more interesting/challenging puzzles.
But I think we should be careful with adding new stuff just like odamite said.
One option would be to implement a very flexible scripting language that is capable of such things.
But that will almost certainly make it harder to understand some levels if for example the gravity is lower.
Take for example XMoto, some levels auto-kill you when using your right wheel without saying so.

Yeah, but there's a problem with that.
Bundling them in one zip would mean that it if other packs also use this theme it will be downloaded multiple times.
But if we separate them there needs to be some sort of dependency system, which will require a lot of work.
Perhaps when we start working on the new addon system we can built in such a system.

My only concern about this is the effect on player's learning curve. We don't want to "bloat" the game with too many features. Now the game has a nice and simple idea and gameplay. Maybe it's best to keep it that way...
